WinGate VPN* allows organizations to extend a private intranet across the Internet by creating a secure data tunnel. Mobile employees, business partners and remote offices are able to establish a secure connection to a network and, in effect, take the network with them regardless of where they connect from. WinGate VPN provides a low cost, low maintenance VPN solution, but contains security features that exceed industry standards, and features not offered in other solutions. Connections to the tunnel are established using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption and authentication is achieved using X509 digital certificates. Data traversing the tunnel is protected by twofish 128-bit key encryption.
