VisNetic
AntiVirus Monitor
A resident antivirus monitor that continuously checks all used files for viruses. It is
convenient and simple in its application. For example, immediately following any download,
the Monitor will automatically implement the antivirus file filtration, providing
"real time" protection.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Scanner
A traditional antivirus scanner that checks all indicated files and drives for viruses
upon user demand. The Scanner can also be scheduled to begin whenever a user or
administrator chooses using the VisNetic AntiVirus Control Center.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Updater
Receive live updates from the Internet via FTP, PASV FTP or HTTP, providing VisNetic
AntiVirus with the latest virus definitions, or bases, defining how and when VisNetic
AntiVirus will destroy known viruses. Additionally, failed downloads are automatically
retried utilizing one of the four pre-configured update sites. Utilizing the Updater
Scheduler, AntiVirus completely automates all relevant updating tasks resulting in
virtually zero administrative overhead.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Control Center
A powerful utility designed to control all VisNetic AntiVirus components installed on the
local computer, including the Scanner, Monitor and Updater. The Control Center allows for
the creation of flexible scheduled events, defines the conditions and parameters for start
up on every installed component, and automatically updates the virus database. The Control
Center can also be used to arrange the start up of third party programs that are not part
of the VisNetic AntiVirus suite.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Mail Checker
VisNetic AntiVirus Mail Checker is an integrated antivirus component for MS Outlook (i.e.;
Outlook 98 or higher). The mail check occurs upon receiving, sending and reading of
messages. When a virus attack occurs, the user is informed of the danger and is able to
neutralize the virus in the body of the email or in the attached file. The user is also
able to send a notice to the sender informing them of the infection.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Script Checker
VisNetic AntiVirus Script Checker provides ultimate protection against script viruses and
worms that are similar to the "LoveLetter" Internet worm. VisNetic AntiVirus
Script Checker acts as a filter between the application, for which the script is designed
(for example Outlook or Internet Explorer) and the script-machine, which processes the
script (for example Microsoft Windows Script Host). At the moment that the script is being
transferred for processing, it is intercepted and checked for any known or unknown script
viruses or worms. VisNetic AntiVirus Script Checker scans the script using its heuristic
engine and also transfers it to the VisNetic AntiVirus Monitor to check the body of the
script for known viruses. If a virus or worm is detected, or suspicious code is found in
the body of the script, the user will be informed with a warning message and the script
execution will be terminated.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Rescue Disk
A failsafe feature that allows you to restore your system in the event that it has been
infected by a virus and is unable to boot up.
VisNetic
Virus List Generator
Allows users to create a listing of all of the viruses that VisNetic AntiVirus protects
against. In the event that a new virus is located, you can create a virus list and search
it to ensure that your network is protected.
VisNetic
Report Viewer
Report Viewer allows you to see the results of the Virus List Generator or virus scans,
interceptions, and provides a log of bases update results.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Bases
VisNetic AntiVirus Bases are the cutting edge virus definitions supplied by Kaspersky
Labs, who are well known for their ability to rapidly identify new viruses and update
antivirus signatures, and are recognized as the leader in data-security technologies and
software. VisNetic AntiVirus definitions protect against all types of viruses, including:
worms, Trojan Horses, time bombs, drop dead devices, or other code that may disable,
erase, display unauthorized messages, or otherwise impair hardware or software. Daily
virus definitions created by Kaspersky Labs ensure that users have the most up-to-date
virus protection available.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Administration Kit
Once installed, the Admin. Kit allows the administration of an entire network of VisNetic
AntiVirus software from any computer with Internet or Intranet access. This gives
administrators the freedom to view, maintain and control antivirus security from any
location. VisNetic AntiVirus Admin. Kit licensing is included with any VisNetic Antivirus
for Server purchase or trial. Admin. Kit components include: the VisNetic AntiVirus
Network Control Center, VisNetic AntiVirus Server and the VisNetic AntiVirus Deployment
Tool.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Server
This module establishes communication with VisNetic
AntiVirus Workstations and ensures that any system messages/alerts (including infections,
virus definition Updater or Scanner problems, licensing issues, etc.) that appear on
Workstations are forwarded to the VisNetic AntiVirus Server. Additionally, Workstations
can automatically detect the VisNetic AntiVirus Server on the network and connect to it
for virus definition updates.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Network Control Center
The VisNetic AntiVirus Network Control Center allows an administrator to access the
Control Center of any VisNetic AntiVirus Workstation on the network from a centralized
location. Use the Network Control Center to configure and update the VisNetic AntiVirus
software (run or schedule virus scans or virus definition updates, etc.), and also to
quickly and efficiently deal with problems such as virus-outbreaks simultaneously on all
the workstations of a network directly from an administrating station.
VisNetic
AntiVirus Deployment Tool
Deploy VisNetic AntiVirus software, licensing, settings and virus definitions to an entire
network of Workstations from one location, instead of configuring each station separately.
Heuristic
checking tool (Code Analyzer)
The heuristic detecting tool (Code Analyzer) checks file and sector codes for instructions
that are indicative of viruses (such as - to open a file, to write into it, to intercept
the interrupt vectors, etc.) and generates appropriate alerts. When scanning a code the
heuristic detecting tool examines the structure of a program down to several sub-levels.
This device detects 92% of the viruses (including many encrypted ones) in the Kaspersky
Lab's database.
